Words of inspiration by Shanna Flowers

Shanna Flowers is a Michigan native who played the Baby Jesus in the dinner2013achurch Christmas play when she was six months old. Though she grew up in a Christian home, Shanna didn’t accept the Savior she portrayed for another 40 years. Even then, she didn’t fully commit her life to Christ for several more years.

Today, Shanna seeks not to just profess her faith but to live it, striving to put Christ first in all matters, including career, relationships and finances. She has an ear for the concerns of women and seeks to share with them that faith transcends all areas of their lives and should not be compartmentalized as she did for years.

She is a graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C., and holds a Master’s degree from Hollins University in Roanoke, Va.

Shanna is a former newspaper reporter and editor who still enjoys stringing together a few words. Currently, she is a manager in health care. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping in second-hand stores and studying the Word, whether for Bible Study Fellowship, Singles Ministry or Sunday School at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Salem, Va.
