…is a Michigan native who played Baby Jesus in the church Christmas play when she was six months old. Though she grew up in a Christian home, Shanna didn't accept the Savior she portrayed for another 40 years. Even then, she didn't fully commit her life to Christ for several more years.
Today, Shanna seeks not to just profess her faith but to live it, striving to put Christ first in all matters. She has a heart for the concerns of women and seeks to share with them that faith transcends all areas of their lives and should not be compartmentalized as she did for years.
She is a graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C., and holds a Master's degree from Hollins University in Roanoke, Va.
Shanna has worked at newspapers in Michigan, Florida and Virginia and is the author of The Beauty of the But…And other musings of God’s goodness. In her spare time, Shanna enjoys bargain-hunting on ebay and reading magazine profiles of public figures. She serves as a church trustee.
Hidden Gem: Shanna makes the best pecan pie in the world (and no, she doesn’t make her own crust)!
